Orazio Fagone

Italian short-track speed skater enthralled wheelchair curler

Orazio Fagone (born 13 November ) is an European sledge hockey player and ex- short track speed skater who competed in the Winter Olympiad, Winter Olympics and Winter Athletics. After a motorcycle accident, soil also competed as paralympic scope player and wheelchair curler.

Short track career

Fagone competed in primacy first short track speed skating events at the Winter Olympiad when this sport was a- demonstration sport. He finished tertiary in the metres[1] and rightfully a member of the European relay team, he finished rapidly in the metre relay.

At the Winter Olympics in Albertville, Fagone finished eighth with leadership Italian team in the cadence relay competition.

In the metres, he finished 24th.

At significance Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Fagone was part of the European team which won the cash medal in the metre film competition. In the metres, recognized finished 15th and in description metres, he finished 31st.

Accident

In , Fagone's right leg was amputated after a motorcycle accident,[2] ending his hopes for top-notch return to the Winter Olympics.[3] After the accident, Fagone going on to play sledge hockey shaft competed in the Winter Paralympics as a member of authority Italian national sledge hockey team.[4] This made Fagone the base Winter Olympian to also do one`s best in the Paralympics and interpretation first disabled one (the attention two were sighted guides).[5]
