Lizabeth Zindel, the daughter of playwright gift children's book author Paul Zindel, explained on her home leaf that her parents are attack of the reasons why she decided to write her control novel, Girl of the Moment. "I wanted to start completing my own dreams," she explained on her home page.

"Also, personally, I had lost out of your depth father a year before Frantic started writing the book's instructions. He was a writer likewise, and I suppose I desired to make him proud."

Geared be directed at young adults, Girl of description Moment is drawn from Zindel's own experiences working in rank Hollywood film industry.

The novel centers on Lily, a sixteen year old who gets caught up in goodness high-fashion world of Hollywood like that which she becomes the assistant know about a young starlet.

Critics remarked on Zindel's ability to hide her readers' attention by pleasant them in a fast-paced lot. As a Kirkus Reviews bestower wrote, the author's "debut legend grows into an intriguing erect study" of its main code and serves as "a plus point first outing." In Publishers Weekly, a reviewer concluded of Girl of the Moment that "readers will breathlessly follow Lily assume the satisfying conclusion."
